Is it foolishness or is it the manifestation of the power of God?

Have you ever argued with someone about something that is so clear and from your vantage point easy to understand, yet that person continues to argue that it is not so? After a while, you simply lift up your hands in exasperation and say, ” well then, have it your way!” You know they are wrong, but they refuse to see the truth, and nothing you do can change it. It’s very frustrating when you know something that can help someone else but they refuse to hear you and reject the help or wisdom that can help them with their problems. Well, consider how God must feel about this very issue. Jesus taught in the parable of the sower that even though people have the power of sight and the power of hearing, they continue to reject Him and His word, which is the most important revelation in history! Here are the verses that share this truth in the Amplified version: “This is the reason I speak to the crowds in parables: because while [having the power of] seeing they do not see, and while[having the power of] hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand and grasp[spiritual things]. In them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, ‘You will hear and keep on hearing, but never understand; And you will look and keep on looking, but never comprehend” (Matthew 13: 13,14). Lord, open our eyes and ears that we may see the precious love and kindness that God has bestowed to us in Christ. May the eyes and ears of our families also be opened so that they would embrace the message of the cross and come to saving faith in Christ!

¿Es necedad o es la manifestación del poder de Dios?

¿Alguna vez ha discutido con alguien sobre algo que es tan claro y desde su punto de vista fácil de entender, sin embargo, esa persona continúa argumentando que no es así? Jesús enseñó en la parábola del sembrador que a pesar de que las personas tienen el poder de la vista y el oído, continúan rechazándolo a Él y a Su palabra, ¡que es la revelación más importante de la historia! Aquí están los versos que comparten esta verdad en la versión Amplificada: “Esta es la razón por la que les hablo a las multitudes en parábolas: porque mientras [tienen el poder de] ver, no ven, y mientras [tienen el poder de] escuchar no escuchan, ni entienden y captan [cosas espirituales]. En ellas se está cumpliendo la profecía de Isaías, que dice: ‘Oirás y seguirás escuchando, pero nunca entenderás; y mirarás y seguirás mirando, pero nunca comprendan “(Mateo 13: 13,14). Señor, abre nuestros ojos y oídos para que podamos ver el precioso amor y la bondad que Dios nos ha otorgado en Cristo. ¡Que los ojos y oídos de nuestras familias también se abran para que puedan abrazar el mensaje de la cruz y llegar a la fe salvadora en Cristo!
