Ephesians 4:27 gives us a powerful instruction: “Nor give place to the devil.” We have authority in Christ to resist the enemy. Read this verse one more time in the Amplified version: “And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].” The enemy is a deceiver, and a slanderous one at that. The enemy, by use of accusations and deception, is always attempting to manipulate you into giving him an opportunity to lead you into sin, whether or not it is to get you into holding a grudge, nurturing anger, harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness. If he can get you into any of those states, He can manipulate you and paralyze your faith. His Word reminds us today that we are not to give him any place or any opportunity in our lives. Live a live of love and forgiveness, and if something gets you angry, don’t keep it. Resolve your issues quickly and he won’t be able to manipulate or control you. After all, greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world!
No le dé oportunidad!
Efesios 4:27 nos da una poderosa instrucción: “No le des lugar al diablo.” Tenemos autoridad en Cristo para resistir al enemigo. Sin embargo, él es un engañador, y calumnioso también. Lee este versículo una vez más en la versión Amplificada: “Y no le des al diablo la oportunidad [de llevarte al pecado guardando rencor, alimentando la ira, abrigando resentimiento o cultivando amargura]. El enemigo, mediante el uso de acusaciones y el engaño, siempre intenta manipularte para que le brinde la oportunidad de llevarlo al pecado, ya sea para que guarde rencor, alimente la ira, albergue el resentimiento o cultive la amargura. Si él puede meterte en cualquiera de esos estados, puede manipularte y paralizar tu fe. Dios nos recuerda hoy que no debemos darle ningún lugar ni ninguna oportunidad en nuestras vidas. Vive una vida y actitud de amor y perdón, y si algo te enoja, no lo guardes. Resuelva sus problemas rápidamente y el no podrá manipularte ni controlarte. ¡Después de todo, mayor es el que está dentro de ti que el que está en el mundo!
