Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

Distraction is the process of directing one’s attention away from something else. It is also something that can bring confusion. God is calling us to reject anything that will try to distract us from our faith. Jesus set his attention on the prize, and refused to be distracted from His purpose. His purpose gave Him joy because He knew that His sacrifice would bring salvation and deliverance to the world, and that includes all of us! Everything He did on earth was directed at that goal. He never allowed anything or anyone to distract him from His purpose. The Apostle Paul also refused to allow anything or anyone to deter or distract him from the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ! He wrote in Phillipians 3: 13-14: “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Today, make up your mind that you will no longer allow anything or anyone to distract you from the high call of God in your life!

Hebrews 12: 2 (AMPL) “Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps 110:1.]”

La distracción es el proceso de desviar la atención de otra persona. La distracción también puede traer confucion. Dios nos esta llamando a que rechacemos todo aquello que nos distraigan de nuestra fe. Jesús puso su atención en el premio y se negó a distraerse de su propósito. Su propósito le dio gozo porque sabía que Su sacrificio traería salvación y liberación al mundo, ¡y eso nos incluye a todos nosotros! Todo lo que hizo en la tierra estuvo dirigido a ese objetivo. Nunca permitió que nada ni nadie lo distrajera de Su propósito. ¡El apóstol Pablo también se negó a permitir que nada ni nadie lo disuadiera o lo distrajera del premio del supremo llamado de Dios en Jesucristo! Escribió en Filipenses 3:13-14: “Hermanos, no pienso que yo mismo lo haya logrado ya. Más bien, una cosa hago: olvidando lo que queda atrás y esforzándome por alcanzar lo que está delante, sigo avanzando hacia la meta para ganar el premio que Dios ofrece mediante su llamamiento celestial en Cristo Jesús.”

!Hoy, decide que ya no permitirás que nada ni nadie te distraiga del alto llamado de Dios en tu vida!

Hebreos 12:2 (RVR1960) “Puestos los ojos en Jesús, el autor y consumador de la fe, el cual por el gozo puesto delante de el sufrió la cruz, menospreciando el oprobio,y se sentó a la diestra del trono de Dios. [llevándolo a la madurez y la perfección]”
