Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

There are various, important disciplines we must have in our lives to grow in our faith. Here are two very important ones. First, we must have a daily dedicated study time in God’s word, thus developing a spiritual and practical revelation of the truth, and we need roll models that are living out these truths either historically or contemporarily, because God works with others to train us by example. The Apostle Paul was a mentor to Timothy. He took him under his wing and even had him travel with him. He once told Timothy that he was to commit to others what he had learned from him (2 Timothy 2:2). The Apostle Paul was a dedicated student of God’s word, and he had been taught by our Lord Jesus Christ. So these two disciplines were present in Paul’s preparation. Revelation of God’s word, and the Lord Jesus was his role model. Are these two disciplines present in your life? Pray today that God give you wisdom, revelation and Godly mentors, so that you can effectively grow in Christ, and bear great fruit in your life.

2 Timothy 2:7 Carefully consider all that I’ve taught you, and may our Lord inspire you with wisdom and revelation in everything you say and do.

Hay varias disciplinas importantes que debemos tener en nuestras vidas para crecer en nuestra fe. Aquí hay dos muy importantes. Primero, debemos tener un tiempo diario dedicado al estudio de la palabra de Dios, desarrollando así una revelación espiritual y práctica de la verdad, y tambien necesitamos modelos que vivan estas verdades ya sea histórica o contemporáneamente, porque Dios trabaja con otros para capacitarnos mediante ejemplo. El apóstol Pablo fue mentor de Timoteo, e incluso permitió que viajara con él. Una vez le dijo a Timoteo que debía confiar a otros lo que había aprendido de él (2 Timoteo 2:2). El apóstol Pablo era un estudiante dedicado de la palabra de Dios y nuestro Señor Jesucristo fue Su mentor. De modo que estas dos disciplinas estuvieron presentes en la preparación de Pablo. Revelación de la palabra de Dios, y el Señor Jesús fue su modelo a seguir. ¿Están estas dos disciplinas presentes en tu vida? Ora hoy para que Dios te dé sabiduría, revelación y mentores piadosos, para que puedas crecer efectivamente en Cristo y dar grandes frutos en tu vida.
