The Apostle Paul said that we are to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit. Another version says “Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit.” In other words, this is a priority to God. Psalms 133 says “Behold how good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity.” There is perfect unity in the Godhead, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is no division, no separation, no mistrust. There is only trust, honor, and pure love. We were created in His Image. We have the capacity to dwell together in unity. However, we also have the tendency to fall into anger, offense, pride and arrogance. When we allow that to happen, we stop endeavoring or making every effort to dwell together in unity. This is not God’s will. Jesus prayed in John 17 for us, that we would be one, just as He and the Father are one. Let’s pray that we would see that in our lifetime. This would truly please the heart of God!
Ephesians 4:2 – endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Pablo desafió a los cristianos de su época a observar su caminar en Dios. El caminar de un cristiano debe coincidir con sus palabras. Pablo rogó (imploró, les suplicó) que caminen dignamente de su vocación. Esto fue muy serio para Paul. Parte de nuestro evangelismo es alejarnos del evangelio (buenas nuevas) donde sea que vayamos, para que la gente pueda ver a Jesús en nosotros y a través de nosotros. Continuó diciendo: con toda humildad y gentileza.. Vemos a tantos cristianos caminando con hostilidad y ofensa uno contra el otro. Demasiados no tienen paciencia ni paciencia. Estas son obras de la carne. Si no estamos caminando en el amor, la única otra opción es caminar en la carne. Ahí es donde uno verá odio, ofensa, amargura, orgullo, arrogancia, venganza, etc. La palabra de Dios claramente nos enseña a caminar en amor. Recuerda siempre: ¡Dios es amor!
Efesios 4:1- Yo, por lo tanto, el prisionero [a] del Señor, te suplico que camines dignamente de la vocación con la que fuiste llamado, con toda humildad y mansedumbre, con paciencia, soportándote unos a otros en amor,
