Be encouraged. God is with you in the midst of that battle!

If you have read the Book of Joshua, you are familiar with the command: “Be strong and courageous.” That was not the only time that this imperative was  articulated. King Hezekiah also shared that same command to the people when the king of Assyria threatened to invade them. 2 Chronicles 32: 7&8 “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.” King Hezekiah knew that his strength and victory would not come from the arm of flesh. It would come from God Himself. He encouraged and strengthened the people with this revelation. Several things stand out about his encouragement: 1) When challenged, one must be strong and courageous. This is a choice, not an emotion. 2) There were actually more that were with God’s people than were with their enemies. We have the power and authority of God, and countless angels that are also with us. 3) The arm of flesh cannot defeat God. Flesh is as the grass of the field; here today, and gone tomorrow. 4) God helps His people to defeat the enemy. We are not alone, and we are not powerless. Greater is He that is with us! So God’s word reminds you today; in the midst of your battle, Be strong and courageous. You have the DNA of the most powerful Warrior!

Anímate hoy. ¡Dios está contigo en medio de esa batalla!

Si has leído el libro de Josué, estás familiarizado con la orden: “Sé fuerte y valiente”. Esa no fue la única vez que se articuló este imperativo. El rey Ezequías también compartió ese mismo mandato a la gente cuando el rey de Asiria amenazó con invadirlos. 2 Crónicas 32:7- 8 “Esforzaos y animaos; no temáis ni tengáis miedo del rey de Asiria, ni de toda la multitud que con él viene; porque más hay con nosotros que con él. Con él está el brazo de carne, pero con nosotros está Jehová, nuestro Dios, para ayudarnos y pelear nuestras batallas. Y el pueblo tuvo confianza en las palabras de Ezequías, rey de Judá”. El rey Ezequías sabía que sus fuerzas y victoria no vendrían de ayuda humana. sino que provendría de Dios mismo. Él alentó y fortaleció a la gente con esta revelación. Podemos ver varios puntos claves en estos versos. a) Cuando pasamos por desafiós, debemos ser fuertes y valientes. Esta es una decision, no una emoción. b) Más son los que estan con el pueblo de Dios que los que estan con sus enemigos. c) Tenemos el poder y la autoridad de Dios e innumerables ángeles que también están con nosotros. d) El brazo o las fuerzas de la carne no puede derrotar a Dios. Los humanos son como la hierba del campo. hoy están y mañana desaparecen. e) Dios ayuda a su pueblo a derrotar al enemigo. No estamos solos y no somos impotentes. Más grande es el que está con nosotros. Así que la palabra de Dios te recuerda hoy, en medio de tu batalla, Sé Fuerte y valiente. ¡Tienes el ADN del guerrero más poderoso!
