Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

The word responsibility has two words embedded in it, response and ability. When one is in a state of responsibility, it means that one is reliable and trustworthy. Responsibility and maturity go hand in hand. When a person learns to be responsible, it means that he/she is mature. God is pleased when we take responsibility for what is truly important. The Apostle Paul revealed that one of the works of the flesh is selfishness (Galations 5:20-21). It is in our fleshly nature to only care for ourselves, and not care for what happens to others. When a tragedy happens, most people might say, ay bendito, I’m so sorry, our thoughts and prayers are with you, but a few days later they will forget about it and go their merry way. However, they won’t take some responsibility to help those in need. Our Lord Jesus was moved by our condition, and took responsibility for all of humanity when He went to the cross. Because of His love for us, He paid the price for our sin and condition, and we now benefit from His responsible actions. The Apostle Paul shared this about Jesus: “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”(Phillipians 2:5-11). Be like our Lord Jesus and take responsibility for that which He has placed in your hands. Let your legacy say: “He/She was responsible!”

Ezra 10:4 “Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be of good courage, and do it”

Responsabilidad y madurez van de la mano. Cuando una persona aprende a ser responsable, significa que está madurando en mente y sus emociones. Dios se complace cuando asumimos la responsabilidad de lo que es verdaderamente importante. El apóstol Pablo reveló que una de las obras de la carne es el egoísmo (Gálatas 5: 20-21). Está en nuestra naturaleza carnal solo cuidarnos a nosotros mismos y no preocuparnos por lo que les sucede a los demás. Cuando ocurre una tragedia, la mayoría de la gente podría decir: ay Dios, lo siento mucho, nuestros pensamientos y oraciones están con ustedes, pero no hacen nada mas. No se responsabilizán de ayudar a los necesitados. Nuestro Señor Jesús fue conmovido por nuestra condición y asumió la responsabilidad de toda la humanidad cuando fue a la cruz. Debido a su amor por nosotros, Él pagó el precio por nuestro pecado y condición, y ahora nos beneficiamos de sus acciones responsables. El apóstol Pablo compartió esto acerca de Jesús: “Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús: Él, siendo en forma de Dios, no estimó el ser igual a Dios como cosa a que aferrarse, sino que se despojó a sí mismo, tomó la forma de siervo y se hizo semejante a los hombres. Mas aún, hallándose en la condición de hombre, se humilló a sí mismo, haciéndose obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz. Por eso Dios también lo exaltó sobre todas las cosas y le dio un nombre que es sobre todo nombre, para que en el nombre de Jesús se doble toda rodilla de los que están en los cielos, en la tierra y debajo de la tierra; y toda lengua confiese que Jesucristo es el Señor, para gloria de Dios Padre.” (Filipenses 2: 5-11). Sé como nuestro Señor Jesús y asume la responsabilidad por lo que Él ha puesto en tus manos. Deje que su legado diga: “¡Él/ella fue responsable!”
