Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

A major problem in the Body of Christ happens to be divisions. We are divided denominationally, philosophically, politically and even in terms of what we believe the Bible says about current issues. We identify with this church, with that movement, with this preacher, with this view, etc. This is not new. In Paul’s day, he criticized the Corinthian church. Note what he said in 1 Corinthians 3:3-4: “for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?” Many in the church had degenerated to the place where it was more important to stand with “this side” or “that side.” In Christ, there is only one side, and that is that we are one body, and that we are called to love one another and work together as His Body. Hate has no place in Christ’s body. That would be similar to cancer in a human body. Paul went on to say in verse 9: “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.” Brethren, we are called to walk in love. This is one of the fruits of the Spirit. Reject sectarianism. Embrace the unity of the Spirit. Love the Brethren like Christ loves us. So many issues and problems would vanish if we love like that. Selah!

John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another”

Un problema serio en el Cuerpo de Cristo son las divisiones. Estamos divididos denominacionalmente, filosóficamente, politicalmente, e incluso en términos de lo que creemos que dice la Biblia sobre temas contemporáneos. Nos identificamos con esta iglesia, con ese movimiento, con este predicador, cone esta posición, etc. Esto no es nuevo. En los días de Pablo, él criticó a la iglesia de Corinto. Note lo que dijo en 1 Corintios 3: 3-4: “porque aún sois carnales. En efecto, habiendo entre vosotros celos, contiendas y disensiones, ¿no sois carnales y andáis como hombres? Pues cuando uno dice: «Yo ciertamente soy de Pablo», y el otro: «Yo soy de Apolos», ¿no sois carnales?” Muchos en la iglesia habían degenerado al lugar donde era más importante estar de pie con “este lado” o “ese lado”. En Cristo, solo hay un lado, y es que somos un solo cuerpo, y estamos llamados a amarnos unos a otros y trabajar juntos como Su Cuerpo. El odio no tiene lugar en el cuerpo de Cristo. Eso sería similar al cáncer en un cuerpo humano. Pablo continuó diciendo en el versículo 9: “porque nosotros somos colaboradores de Dios, y vosotros sois labranza de Dios, edificio de Dios.” Hermanos, estamos llamados a caminar en amor. Este es uno de los frutos del Espíritu. Rechaza el sectarismo. Abraza la unidad del Espíritu. Ama a los hermanos como Cristo nos ama. Tantas cuestiones y problemas desaparecerían si nos amamos en esa manera. Selah!
