Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

Paul used the word “ashamed” in Romans 1:16. He said this: Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.” He was honored to be a minister of the Gospel. The word “ashamed” means: “feeling shame, guilt, or disgrace; reluctant or unwilling to do something because of shame or embarrassment.” Today, the enemy is working overtime to try to make Christians ashamed of sharing their faith. He is trying to confuse this generation about what the Gospel is. In many cases, ministers are not even preaching the gospel of salvation anymore. They are preaching wellness, feeling good and positive thinking. But Jesus did not die on the cross so that we can feel good. He died on the cross to deliver us from the power of darkness, and translate us into His Kingdom. I don’t need the cross to “feel good.” I need the cross to be set free; to be born again; to be forgiven of my sins; to be part of the family of God; to be able to stand one day in the presence of God without guilt and shame. That is the Gospel. It is good news about eternal salvation. People, do not be deceived. What Jesus did on the cross is the greatest message in history, period! I am not ashamed of His love for me, and what He did for me. Are you?

Pablo usó la palabra “avergonzado” en Romanos 1:16. Mire como usa esa palabra: “Pues no me avergüenzo de la Buena Noticia acerca de Cristo, porque es poder de Dios en acción para salvar a todos los que creen, a los judíos primero y también a los gentiles”. Para el, era un honor ser un ministro del evangelio. La palabra “avergonzado” significa: sentir vergüenza, culpa o desgracia; renuente o no dispuestos a hacer algo por vergüenza. Hoy, el enemigo está trabajando muy fuerte para intentar avergonzar a los cristianos de compartir su fe. Él está tratando de confundir a esta generación en cuanto a lo que es el Evangelio. En muchos casos, los ministros ya ni siquiera predican el evangelio de la salvación. Están predicando el bienestar, sintiéndose bien, pensamientos positivos. Pero Jesús no murió en la cruz para que podamos sentirnos bien. Él murió en la cruz para librarnos del poder de las tinieblas y trasladarnos a su Reino. No necesito la cruz para “sentirme bien”. Necesito que la cruz me libere. Necesito nacer de nuevo. Necesito ser perdonado de mis pecados Necesito ser parte de la familia de Dios. Y así, tener el privilegio de poder estar un día en la Presencia de Dios sin culpa y vergüenza. El evangelio es las buenas nuevas sobre la salvación eterna. Por favor, no te deje engañar. ¡Lo que Jesús hizo en la cruz es el mensaje más grande en la historia, punto y coma! No me avergüenzo de su amor por mí, y de lo que hizo por mí. ¿Eres tú?
