Build your future on the Rock!

Have you noticed that when the storms come, it also rains upon the righteous and the unrighteous. Storms hit us all. Jesus said in Matthew 7: 24-27, that the storm descended upon those who built their homes upon the rock and upon the sand. Everyone experiences storms. So the correct mindset is to always be prepared for the storms, not to hope that we never encounter storms. How we respond to storms determine whether or not the storm will destroy us. Jesus taught that those who build  on the rock are the ones who will not suffer destruction. Building on the rock consists on being rooted in the solid bedrock of God’s principles. As we abide in His principles, it creates a barrier of protection around us. When the enemy comes in like a flood, our faith will continue to be immovable. Contrast that with the one who builds on faulty principles, when the storms come, it will destroy them. In this parable, it wasn’t the home or the storm that allowed destruction. It was the decision to either build on rock or sand. So if you have suffered loss in the past, determine where you built your previous home, (beliefs, actions, mistakes, errors, failures), ask God for forgiveness, and begin again. This time however, build your future on the rock (His word, His principles, His love, His grace, His forgiveness). Next time the storm comes, you will be able to endure and overcome anything the enemy throws your way.

And great was its fall”

Edifica tu futuro sobre La Roca!

¿Te has dado cuenta de que cuando llegan las tormentas, llueve sobre los justos y los injustos? Las tormentas nos golpearon a todos. Jesús dijo en Mateo 7: 24-27, que la tormenta descendió sobre aquellos que construyeron sus casas sobre la roca y sobre la arena. Todos experimentan tormentas. Entonces, la mentalidad correcta es estar siempre preparado para las tormentas, no esperar que nunca encontremos tormentas. Cómo respondemos a las tormentas determina si la tormenta nos destruirá o no. Jesús enseñó que aquellos que construyen sobre la roca son los que no sufrirán la destrucción. Construir sobre la roca consiste en estar enraizado en la base sólida de los principios de Dios. Al permanecer en Sus principios, crea una barrera de protección a nuestro alrededor. Cuando el enemigo entra como un diluvio, nuestra fe seguirá siendo inamovible. Contrasta eso con los que construyen basados en principios defectuosos. Cuando llegan las tormentas, destruirá lo que edificaron. En esta parábola, no fue el hogar o la tormenta lo que permitió la destrucción. Fue la decisión de construir sobre roca o arena. Entonces, si ha sufrido una pérdida en el pasado, determine dónde construyó su hogar anterior (creencias erradas, acciones incorrectos, errores), pida perdón a Dios y comience de nuevo. Esta vez, sin embargo, construye tu futuro sobre la roca (Su palabra, Sus principios, Su amor, Su gracia, Su perdón). La próxima vez que llegue la tormenta, serás capaz de soportar y superar cualquier cosa que el enemigo lance en tu camino.

Cayó la lluvia, vinieron los ríos, y soplaron los vientos, y azotaron aquella casa, pero ésta no se vino abajo, porque estaba fundada sobre la roca. Por otro lado, a cualquiera que me oye estas palabras y no las pone en práctica, lo compararé a un hombre insensato, que edificó su casa sobre la arena. Cayó la lluvia, vinieron los ríos, y soplaron los vientos, y azotaron aquella casa, y ésta se vino abajo, y su ruina fue estrepitosa”
