Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

Genesis 2:15 “And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it”.

This verse reveals something very powerful to us. God made us in His image and likeness. We know that God worked six days and then rested. After that, He looked at His work and He said it was “very good”. He then created us to also be able to produce great things through our work. In that verse, it says that He put man in the garden to tend, guard and keep it. The word tend also means to cultivate. Cultivate means: “to foster growth, to improve by labor or care”. God has given each of us a garden to tend, guard and keep. It is our responsibility to foster growth in our garden, and to improve everything around us by our righteous labor and care. It is unacceptable to let things go into disarray. All beautiful gardens require a lot of work. We all admire great gardens, but few realize how much hard work it took for it to look so lovely. What is the garden that God has given you? Is it your marriage? Is it your children? Is it your ministry? Is it your job? Is it your community? God worked, and after He finished, He said it was ” very good”. When God looks at your garden, will He say: “Well done good and faithful servant?”

Génesis 2:15 “Y el Señor Dios tomó al hombre y lo puso en el Jardín del Edén para cuidarlo y guardarlo”.

Este versículo revela algo muy poderoso para nosotros. Dios nos hizo a su imagen y semejanza. Sabemos que Dios trabajó seis días y luego descansó. Después de eso, miró su trabajo y dijo que era “muy bueno”. Luego nos creó para también poder producir grandes cosas a través de nuestro trabajo. En ese versículo, dice que puso al hombre en el jardín para cuidarlo, guardarlo y conservarlo. La palabra cuidar en el lenguaje original también significa cultivar. Cultivar significa: “fomentar el crecimiento, mejorar mediante el trabajo”. Dios nos ha dado a cada uno de nosotros un jardín para cuidar, proteger y mantener. Es nuestra responsabilidad fomentar el crecimiento en nuestro jardín y mejorar todo lo que nos rodea mediante nuestro trabajo y cuidado. Es inaceptable dejar que las cosas caigan en desorden. Todos los hermosos jardines requieren mucho trabajo. Todos admiramos los magníficos jardines, pero pocos se dan cuenta de cuánto trabajo le costó lucir tan hermoso. ¿Cuál es el jardín que Dios te ha dado? ¿Sera tu matrimonio? ¿Son tus hijos? ¿Es tu ministerio? ¿Es tu trabajo? ¿Es tu comunidad? Dios trabajó, y después de terminar, dijo que era “muy bueno”. Cuando Dios mire tu jardín, ¿dirá: “Bien hecho siervo bueno y fiel?”
