Victor Nazario is the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Inc., a growing, vibrant church located in the Bronx, NY. Both he and his wife, Gwendolyn, desire to see people connect with Christ as well as grow and mature in the knowledge of God and His Word. Pastor Nazario was the event manager for the 1996 Promise Keepers Conference “Break Down The Walls” at Shea Stadium in New York City; overseeing nearly 2,500 volunteers from churches around the U.S. He has also served as co-chairperson for the New York City March for Jesus, chairperson for the Manhattan March for Jesus, co-chairperson for the Harlem Prayer March, and as the Northeast regional director for Promise Keepers. Pastor Victor holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is the author of a book titled Leaders in the New Millennium. Due to his unique speaking and teaching style, he is called on to share Godly principles on leadership and other themes at various conferences, seminars, and churches throughout the year.

We all have the same internal struggle. The sinful nature within us fights against God’s will. Paul confessed this very same struggle: Romans 7: 21 – 25 “I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power[e] within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.” So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin”. The answer is allowing the Holy Spirit to help you daily. The Spirit will help you overcome your weaknesses. He will guide you to God’s will. We all need a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus told us that after He returned to the Father, He will send the Holy Spirit, who will guide us to all truth. Welcome the Holy Spirit in your life today. Like Paul, you also need His daily direction and strength!

Galations 5: 16 – 17 “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions”

Todos tenemos la misma lucha interna. La naturaleza pecaminosa dentro de nosotros lucha contra la voluntad de Dios. Pablo confesó esta misma lucha: Romanos 7: 21 – 25 “He descubierto este principio de vida: que cuando quiero hacer lo correcto, inevitablemente hago lo que está mal.Amo la ley de Dios con todo mi corazón.Pero hay otro poder dentro de mí que está en guerra con mi mente. Este poder me hace esclavo del pecado que todavía está dentro de mí. ¡Oh, qué miserable soy! ¿Quién me librará de esta vida dominada por el pecado y la muerte?¡Gracias a Dios! La respuesta está en Jesucristo nuestro Señor.” Entonces ves cómo es: en mi mente realmente quiero obedecer la ley de Dios, pero debido a mi naturaleza pecaminosa soy esclavo del pecado”. La respuesta es permitir que el Espíritu Santo te ayude diariamente. El Espíritu te ayudará a superar tus debilidades. Él te guiará a la voluntad de Dios. Todos necesitamos una relación personal con el Espíritu Santo. El Señor Jesús nos dijo que después de regresar al Padre, enviará el Espíritu Santo, quien nos guiará a toda verdad. Da la bienvenida al Espíritu Santo en tu vida hoy. Al igual que Pablo, ¡tú también necesitas Su dirección y fortaleza diarias!

Gálatas 5: 16 – 17 “Por eso os digo: dejad que el Espíritu Santo guíe vuestras vidas. Entonces no estarás haciendo lo que tu naturaleza pecaminosa anhela. La naturaleza pecaminosa quiere hacer el mal, que es todo lo contrario de lo que quiere el Espíritu. Y el Espíritu nos da deseos que son opuestos a los que desea la naturaleza pecaminosa. Estas dos fuerzas luchan constantemente entre sí, por lo que no eres libre de llevar a cabo tus buenas intenciones”
