They refuse to submit to anyone! Are they wrong?

Submission is a Godly action, yet today, submission has become a bad word. However, the Apostle Paul taught that part of being wise is the posture of submission to God and to one another. In 1 Samuel 15:22, the Prophet Samuel reveals that God desires obedience and submission. Paul reminded God’s people that we need to submit to one another in the fear of God. The challenge is that one cannot submit when one is walking in pride and arrogance. It seems that in this generation, pride is cool and submission is old fashioned and irrelevant. Today, many get offended very easily when corrected. Some would say: How dare one tell us what we need to do? Yet, God will bless and promote those who  submit to Him and to one another. I know that there are times where submission is not a good idea, but we cannot throw out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak. Submission is Godly, but walking in pride and arrogance will ultimately bring you down. Remember what the Apostle Peter said: Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5).

¡Se niegan a someterse a nadie! ¿Están equivocados?

La sumisión es una acción piadosa, pero hoy en día, la sumisión se ha convertido en una mala palabra. Sin embargo, el apóstol Pablo enseñó que parte de ser sabio es la postura de sumisión a Dios y a los demás. En 1 Samuel 15:22, el profeta Samuel revela que Dios desea obediencia y sumisión. Pablo le recordó al pueblo de Dios que debemos someternos unos a otros en el temor de Dios. El desafío es que uno no puede someterse cuando uno camina con orgullo y arrogancia. Parece que en esta generación, el orgullo es genial y la sumisión es anticuada e irrelevante. Hoy, muchos se ofenden muy fácilmente cuando se corrigen. Algunos dirían: ¿Cómo se atreve uno a decirnos lo que tenemos que hacer? Sin embargo, Dios bendecirá y promoverá a aquellos que se sometan a Él y los unos a los otros. Sé que hay momentos en que la sumisión no es una buena idea, pero no podemos tirar al bebé con el agua del baño, por así decirlo. La presentación es piadosa, pero andar con orgullo y arrogancia finalmente lo hará caer. Recuerda lo que dijo el Apóstol Pedro: De la misma manera que los jóvenes, se someten a ustedes mismos. Sí, todos ustedes se someten el uno al otro, y se les vestirá con humildad, porque “Dios rehúsa a los soberbios, pero da gracia a los humildes” (1 Pedro 5: 5).
