Can people “see” your love for them?

The Apostle James shared a key truth that defined the difference between a hearer and a doer. The hearer forgets what he hears, but the doer obeys God’s word and receives the blessing (James 1:22, 25). Also, the Apostle John taught that we are to love one another in truth and by our actions. Here are his own words.  1 John 3: 18-22: “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.  Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.” Family, it’s easy to say you love God and His people, but it’s a totally different world to actually live that out. God is looking for those that actually live it out. Hearers are a dime a dozen, but the doers are precious and sometimes hard to find. Are you a doer or a hearer only? Check yourself today because that’s what will determine whether or not God’s blessings are yours or not!
