Your plans will succeed when you do this!

You can see in the scriptures verses like: “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart,” or “Love the Lord with all of your heart,” etc. This speaks of commitment. Commitment is when you “obligate or bind yourself” to someone or something. This is when you are “all in.” God is totally committed to His word and to the promises that He gave us in the scriptures. He has “obligated” Himself by His word to do what He promised. He honors His word! In Proverbs 16:3 (NLT) it says: “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” When we commit our lives and actions to the Lord, the Holy Spirit opens our understanding, and we receive strategies and wisdom from God’s word that line up our actions to His will, and that produces good success. The Holy Spirit shows us the way to go, the things to invest in, and the people to connect with. This will ensure that we reap effectively. Have you truly committed your life and actions to the Lord, or are you still doing things all by yourself without inviting God’s wisdom into your life? If you haven”t, what are you waiting for?

Do NOT cast away your confidence!

In this season, many have cast away their confidence. Circumstances and crises have driven many to worry and fear. The Lord Jesus instructed us to not fear, but to confide in Him since He has overcome the world. Our faith and confidence is pivotal in this day. Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith fail not. Our confidence must remain strong in this day. It has great recompense of reward! Recompense means: “To give something to by way of compensation (as for a service rendered or damage incurred). An equivalent or a return for something done, suffered, or given.”  Notice how our confidence in God has a great recompense of reward. When we confide in God and His promises, God takes note of that, and He rewards us. Even if you lose something in the process of trusting God. You might even suffer persecution for your faith. Yet, in all of this, you can be sure that God will reward you for your faith and confidence in Him. Matthew 19:29 says: “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” For everything that we lose for His sake, we shall receive something better, and the greatest blessing is that He has given us eternal life and an eternal home with Him. So don’t fret for what you have lost, rejoice in what you have gained in Christ!
