There is a champion warrior within you!

King David became the champion when he defeated the Philistine champion, Goliath. What made him a champion? Well, it certainly wasn’t by acting like all the other “warriors” that were supposed to fight against Goliath. David had to see beyond what all the other warriors were seeing. They were focusing on how huge and ominous Goliath was. They heard of his track record and past accomplishments. However, David remembered God’s promises. He remembered how God had delivered him from the lion and the bear. He was a champion on the inside before he ever challenged the giant. He knew that the Lord was with him and would give him the victory over this ominous enemy. His faith in God’s faithfulness caused him to be larger on the inside than on the outside. People might look at you and not “see” anything significant. But if you are larger on the inside than on the outside, it doesn’t make a difference what people think. When they see you topple your “giant,” then they will realize that God is able to save, no matter what the situation looks like. Praise God that the battle is truly the Lord’s and He has already defeated the enemy!

1 Samuel 17:45-47 “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.  This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands”

Hay un campeón guerrero dentro de ti!

El rey David se convirtió en campeón cuando derrotó al campeón filisteo, Goliat. Que fue lo que le hizo un campeón? Ciertamente no estaba actuando como todos los otros “guerreros” con los que se suponía que debían luchar contra Goliat. David pudo ver más allá de lo que todos los otros guerreros estaban viendo. Estaban viendo lo enorme y ominoso que era Goliath. Escucharon de su trayectoria y logros pasados. Sin embargo, David recordó las promesas de Dios. Recordó cómo Dios lo había librado del león y del oso. Fue campeón antes de desafiar al gigante. Era más grande por dentro que por fuera. La gente puede mirarte y no “ver” nada significativo. Pero si eres más grande por dentro que por fuera, no importa lo que piense la gente. Cuando te vean derrotar a tu “gigante”, entonces se darán cuenta de que realmente eres un campeón, ¡y eres alguien a quien hay que tener en cuenta!

1 Samuel 17: 45-47 “Entonces David dijo al filisteo:” Tú vienes a mí con una espada, con una lanza y con una jabalina. Te entregara en nuestras manos ”
