God promises that He will protect us!

Psalms 91:3 “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence”

When God says “surely,” this is a guarantee, This guarantee is most valuable because when God promises us something, it is “rock solid”! In Psalms 91:3, He promises to deliver us from the enemy’s traps and deadly pestilences. The snare of the fowler is a trap used to catch wild birds. It can also be something that can entangle, impede or deceive you. A pestilence is a fatal epidemic disease. We are living in the midst of  various pestilences in this day.  His promise in this verse means that even if we fall into a trap, God promises to deliver us, or to intervene so that we would be set free. You can see this in Acts 12, where God sends an angel to deliver the Apostle Peter from prison and a death sentence. Another example is found in Acts 16. God delivers the Apostle Paul and Silas from prison. The Lord Jesus promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. I have heard Christians say that they don’t feel that God is with them. Without realizing it, they are saying that they don’t trust God’s promise. It’s time to reflect on our actions and words. King David trusted God completely, even in the midst of crises, snares and pestilences. We have to develop a strong personal relationship with God and a complete trust in His word and faithfulness!

Prayer:
Thank You, Heavenly Father, that your word promises that You will deliver us from any and all traps and snares of the enemy. You also promised that you will deliver us from pestilences. I declare Psalm 91: 3 over my family and me: “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence”. I am so grateful that You are faithful and loving. You honor your word. Today, I also honor your word and I praise You for your goodness and tender mercies that you bestow upon me and my family each and every day. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!
