The Prophet Jeremiah reminds us of one of the most precious promises that we need to remember each and every day in Lamentations 3:21 -23: “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness”.
Isn’t that an awesome promise! God promises us that His mercies are brand new each and every morning. His compassions fail not. This promise should be settled in your heart once and for all that God is not holding your past sin over your head. It is the devil that attempts to keep you in a place of guilt and shame. Once we ask for forgiveness, He forgives us and doesn’t remember them any more. And although we mess up and fall short, His mercies pick us up each and every day. Be reminded today that His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness!
