How long will you falter between two opinions?

The Apostle James said that when we go to God, we must ask in faith, and not doubt. A man that doubts is double-minded, and his double-mindedness will not allow him to receive anything from God (James 1:6-7). Elijah referenced this similar condition by saying “How long will you falter between 2 opinions?” The word falter means, to hesitate, to limp, to become lame. When one allows the enemy to take them to that posture, their faith becomes lame. Their “faith strength” is depleted, and they can’t stand and endure in any battle. Ask God today to reveal to you if you are in a “double-minded posture.” This is dangerous for your walk with God. If you have been in that posture, repent and get back to trusting in God. God desires to do great things through you, so allow Him to rebuild your faith strength as you get back to worshipping Him and declaring His word over your situation. This is the time to stand in His strength, not sit in idleness and double-mindedness!

1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.
