Let the worshippers arise!

The Lord’s Prayer begins with worship to God and recognition of who He is. The Lord’ Prayer also ends with worship. Our tendency as humans is to only be interested in what people can do for us. Most are not interested in what they can do for others. When we begin our prayers with worship, it brings us back to our godly DNA, which recognizes that everything does not revolve around us. It focuses our prayers on the truly important things. It is by God’s grace and goodness that we are saved. It is His goodness that has provided for the roof over our heads, the food we eat, the health that we enjoy, the daily gift of life, etc. When we worship God, we establish an “attitude of gratitude” in our daily life. Now we realize why the Lord Jesus taught us to begin and end our prayers with worship to God. Let the worshippers arise!

Matthew 6: 13 – For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
