James 5:17 says “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”. The word “fervent” means, exhibiting great intensity of feeling; Zealous. So when you see a righteous person praying, it’s not like what many do today, which is to say to someone, “we send our prayers and thoughts.” That is not true, biblical prayer. A person who exhibits righteous prayer cries out to God with all of their heart. Their prayers are intense, passionate and zealous. They don’t give up until they see their answer. They are like the widow in Luke 18:1. This verse says, their prayers are “effective, and that is  because they get results. How is your prayer life at this point? Do you even have time for prayer? This is vital because nothing really happens unless someone prays! We can complain, cry, scream, criticize, and the like. However, in our hearts we innately know that nothing good comes out of that. It’s only when we fervently pray in faith and not give up, that we will really see the types of results that we are looking for. Determine to step up your prayer life this year. Be like Elijah, and impact your generation!

James 5: 16 – 18 “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit”

Santiago 5:17 dice: “La eficaz y ferviente oración de un hombre justo sirve mucho”. La palabra “ferviente” significa, exhibiendo gran intensidad de sentimiento; Celoso. Entonces, cuando ves a una persona justa orando, no es como lo que muchos hacen hoy, que es decirle a alguien, “enviamos nuestras oraciones y pensamientos”. Eso no es en verdad una oración bíblica. Una persona que exhibe una oración justa clama a Dios con todo su corazón. Sus oraciones son intensas y apasionadas. No se dan por vencidos hasta que ven la respuesta. Son como la viuda en Lucas 18: 1. Sus oraciones son “efectivas” porque obtienen resultados. ¿Cómo es tu vida de oración en este momento? ¿Le esta dando prioridad a la oración? Esto es vital porque realmente no pasa nada a menos que alguien ore. Podemos quejarnos. llorar, gritar, criticar y cosas por el estilo. Sin embargo, en nuestros corazones sabemos innatamente que nada bueno sale de eso. Es solo cuando oramos fervientemente en fe, y no nos rendimos, que realmente veremos los tipos de resultados que estamos buscando. Determina hoy que tu vida de oración se va a  intensificar este año. ¡Sea como Elías e impacte a tu generación!

Santiago 5: 17-18 “Elías era hombre sujeto a pasiones semejantes a las nuestras, y oró fervientemente para que no lloviera, y no llovió sobre la tierra durante tres años y seis meses. 18 Y otra vez oró, y el cielo dio lluvia y la tierra produjo su fruto”
