Are you confident about this?

When God instructed Abraham to leave his father’s home and go to the land that God would give him as an inheritance, He obeyed God. Abraham did that even though he did not know where he was going (Hebrews 11: 8-10). He confidently looked for this city that was designed and built by God. He trusted God even though he hadn’t seen it. He left his comfort and security to pursue something God had promised him, and in doing so, he became the “the friend of God” (James 2:23).  Most people will refuse to get out of their comfort zones, hence they will not be open to receive great things from God that require faith, trust, and a heart to partner with Him. Most say that they are looking to God for great things, but when it’s time to work with and trust Him, they make excuses so they won’t have to obey Him.  Are you God’s friend? Are you following his instructions? Can He trust you to walk with Him and be His faithful ambassador? When God is ready to do something in your region, can He trust you to be part of that redemptive work? Remember, He is seeking those He can trust!

Hebrews 11: 8-10 “It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.”

Cuando Dios le ordenó a Abraham que abandonara la casa de su padre y fuera a la tierra que Dios le daría como herencia, Él obedeció a Dios. Abraham hizo eso a pesar de que no sabía a dónde iba (Hebreos 11: 8-10). Buscó con confianza esta ciudad que fue diseñada y construida por Dios. Confiaba en Dios a pesar de que no había visto esa tierra. Dejó su comodidad y seguridad para buscar algo que Dios le había prometido, y al hacerlo, se convirtió en el “amigo de Dios” (Santiago 2:23). La mayoría de las personas se negarán a salir de sus zonas de comodidad, por lo tanto, no estarán abiertas para recibir grandes cosas de parte de Dios que requieren fe, confianza y un corazón para asociarse con Él. La mayoría dice que están esperando grandes cosas de parte  de Dios, pero cuando llega el momento de moverse en fe y confiar en El,  ponen excusas para que no tengan que obedecerlo. ¿Eres amigo de Dios? ¿Estás siguiendo sus instrucciones. ¿Puede Dios confiar en ti para que camines con Él y seas su fiel embajador? Cuando Dios esté listo para hacer algo en su región, ¿podría confiar en que tú serás parte de ese trabajo redentor? Recuerda, ¡Él está buscando a aquellos en quienes puede confiar!

Hebreos 11: 8-10 “Fue por la fe que Abraham obedeció cuando Dios lo llamó para que saliera de su casa y fuera a otra tierra que Dios le daría como su herencia. Se fue sin saber a dónde iba. E incluso cuando llegó a la tierra que Dios le prometió, él vivió allí por fe, porque era como un extranjero, viviendo en carpas, y también lo hicieron Isaac y Jacob, quienes heredaron la misma promesa. Abraham tenia confianza que veria una ciudad con cimientos eternos, una Ciudad diseñada y construida por Dios “.
