You are not alone in this battle!

The Apostle Peter cautioned us to be sober and vigilant at all times. The word sober means: be well balanced and self-disciplined. The word vigilant means: be alert and cautious at all times. Peter knew that we are in a spiritual battle. However, we are not alone in this battle. Our brothers and sisters in the faith likewise are also in a similar battle. 1 Peter 5:8-9 says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” Peter reminded us of the power of our faith. We have the authority to resist the adversary, the devil. We are to resist him stedfastly in the faith. When we do that, he must flee. The word “steadfast” means: “immovable, firmly fixed in place”. Our faith is wrapped around THE ROCK, who is the Lord Jesus. This is why we can remain steadfast! James 4:7 says: “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”. So be reminded today that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!

He’s got your back!

Did you know that when someone attacks you, God takes it personally? In Exodus 23:22 it says: “But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.” That is a powerful promise. Mark 9:41 & 42 says: “For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.” When someone attacks you, you can be sure that Heaven is aware, and that retribution will come. You can be confident that you have “Heavenly backup!” The truth is we don’t have to fear because those that are with us are more than those who are with them! (2 Kings 6:16)

Exodus 23:22: “But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.”

2 Kings 6:16-17So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”  And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
