People are always looking for who can do something for them. Many have asked “What’s in it for me?” That’s the world’s philosophy; You do for me, and I’ll do for you. However, Ephesians 6:8 says “knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free”. Notice what it didn’t say. It didn’t say that if you do good to someone, they have to render it back to you. What it does say is that if you do good to someone, you will receive the same FROM THE LORD! You might help someone, and they might not even appreciate it. However, God saw your kindness, and He will make sure that someone else blesses you. So going forward, don’t look for the same response from people. Bless others, knowing that God sees your loving actions, and He will always render it back to you.
