Your team determines your level of victory!

The Bible says that two are better than one. Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12 says: “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” If you look at all great champions, you will see that behind the scenes, their victories came as a result of teamwork. Even in sports like golf or tennis, even they have a team helping them in their championship pursuits. Actually, when one is alone, it is much more difficult to achieve anything of great worth. When you work together with others with similar interests, the projects get done quicker, and more gets accomplished. God was very angry with the Amalekites, because they attacked the older, weaker Israelites who fell behind when they were traveling from Egypt to the promised land. Since the older Israelites could not keep up with the team, they were in essence, alone. Because of that, the enemy was able to successfully attack them. Jesus said that the prayer of agreement is a very powerful prayer. He also said that wherever two or three are gathered together, He is there in their midst (Matthew 18:19,20). God even corrected the prophet Elijah when he said that he was the only one left that was standing for Him. God corrected the prophet by telling him: “I have seven thousand that have not bowed their knee to Baal (1 Kings 19:14-18). So Elijah was not really alone. It’s time to realize that you are not supposed to do things all by yourself. God has given you those who will work with you, pray with you, rejoice with you, cry with you. You are part of a great and anointed body. Be encouraged today because there are more with us than with the enemy!

Ecclesiastes 4:12Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

This will multiply your power!

There is power in agreement. You might be able to get some things done if you are alone, but most all great and significant things can only be accomplished through teamwork. Amos 3:3 (ERV) says: “Two people will not walk together unless they have agreed to do so.” The word agreement means: “harmony of opinion, action, or character; an arrangement as to a course of action; a contract duly executed and legally binding” (Merriam Webster). King David declared: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalms 133). He goes on to say that in that place of unity life is released. Agreement is pivotal to life. Without it, we would die. Consider that the internal organs in our bodies have to work together in order to be healthy. When one organ fails, all of the other organs have to work harder. Sometimes, when one organ fails, such as the heart, the whole body dies. Wow. This is a powerful revelation. We are part of the body of Christ. Yet, many do not work together with the body. And because of that, all of the other members have to work harder. And since they are disconnected from the body, they are weak and sickly. Conversely, when we are properly connected and in agreement with the Head (the Lord Jesus), and the body (the Church), we empower the rest of the body, and we ourselves are strong and healthy. Have you allowed yourself to get disconnected from the body? Are you walking alone? This is your reminder to get reconnected. Your place is still waiting for you, and the rest of us need you.
