Today, it’s fashionable to complain and argue about everything. I hear people complaining everyday! Christians have even got caught up in this trend. I guess they haven’t read. Here is what it says: “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” That is pretty clear to me: Do ALL things without complaining and disputing. Those who understand this become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault! Why is it that we so easily get ensnared with fleshly, carnal reactions? We need to get back to His word to see how we should respond to life’s challenges and how we should live in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. We need to be shining as lights in the world, instead of simply acting like the world. How will they see Jesus in the midst of the church if we do not allow our lives to reflect His love, grace and righteousness? It’s time to to become “scriptural believers,” not just believers in name only!
When will they stop complaining and arguing?
I don’t know about you, but doesn’t it seem that people complain and argue all day long, everywhere you go. Even when we turn on the news, it’s all about complaining and disputing. It just seems that our Adamic nature thrives on arguing and complaining. Lately, it’s gotten worse. People can’t seem to get along. I have also noticed this among Christians. So many act the same way as the world, yet they say that they are born again and spirit-filled. Phillipians 2: 14, 15 instructs us to live this way: “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” Part of allowing our lights to shine, is to stop complaining and arguing. We are to walk without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. When people observe you in your daily routine, do they observe you complaining, disputing, and arguing? Or do they see you operating in joy and peace? Are you allowing your light to shine, or has your light been darkened by all the “dirt and debris” of worldly behavior? Remember: God instructs us to “do ALL things” without complaining and disputing. Something to think about today!
