Trust is a powerful belief. When we trust, we act with positive dependance upon those we trust. Trust breeds security and confidence in relationships. Trust causes us to feel safe with someone else because we perceive them as being reliable. We can depend upon a trustworthy person. This is one of the most important factors in any successful relationship. Lamentations 3:25,26 (NLT) says: “The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.” Psalm 5:11 says: “But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.” People might have failed you in the past, but never allow that to filter in to your relationship with God. God is not a man that He should lie. If He said it, He will do it; If He spoke it, He will bring it to pass! Let your trust in the Lord be your anchor and strength in your life. Even if people fail you, God is with you. He will never fail you. Remember, the Lord is good to those who depend on Him!
This is an awesome promise!
We have a great promise in Hebrews 13: 5, 6. This promise gives us great confidence, great joy, great peace, great expectation. It gives us great hope for the future! It secures our eternity. It removes any fears from our hearts. Here is what it says: “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” (Hebrews 13: 5,6 NLT) As we enter into this holiday season, remember that He never fails. He never abandons us. He is our helper. He is with us, and if God be with us, who can be successful against us?
