This is full of revelation!

One of God’s many characteristics is that He is very generous. You can see that in all of creation. Just look at the forests, the rain, the ocean, etc. He is also very generous in wisdom. Proverbs 2:6 (TPT) says: “Wisdom is a gift from a generous God, and every word he speaks is full of revelation and becomes a fountain of understanding within you.” If we ask God for wisdom, He will give it abundantly (James 1:5). Every word He gives us if full of revelation. Did you get that? This is why it is so important to read a verse or two, then stop and think about what was written. You will find that when you meditate or think about what you just read, the Holy Spirit will begin to give a you deeper understanding of what is hidden in those verses. Never rush when you are studying God’s word. Take your time because when you do, more revelation will come forth. His word is a fountain of understanding. And to those that love and desire knowledge from above, God will generously grant it to you. Remember, God’s word contains life, purpose, joy, peace, confidence, strategies and power to overcome any challenge or obstacle you might be facing. Be like David, who loved God’s word. It was said of David, “He is a man after God’s own heart.” What will they say about you?

Who will you trust in times of trouble?

Have you ever been in a situation where you really needed someone to come through for you, and the person disappoints you? I’ve seen this happen at work, in church and even personally. Proverbs 25:19 says: “Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble Is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint.” Confidence has various meanings, but in this verse, confidence means: faith or belief that one will act in a right, proper, or effective way. I once lost a friendship because I asked someone to pick him up at the airport. Not only did the person not pick up my friend, my friend had to navigate in a city that he knew nothing of. My friend’s wife was livid with me. They never trusted me again. God also is grieved at unfaithful people. In Matthew 26-28, the Lord Jesus shared this about the unfaithful man: “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.” My question to you today is: do your family and friends see you as faithful? And even more importantly, does God call you “faithful servant?”
