During the Lord Jesus’ earthly ministry, He referenced His relationship with His Father on many occasions. He knew that the Father was always with Him. In John 16:32, He said: “Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.” God’s Presence is not an option for us. His Presence is our life. We live, breathe and have our being in Him! King David said that he would not fear any evil, because God was with him (Psalm 23:4). It’s vital that we daily build and cultivate that relationship with God and His Presence. This world and culture can easily distract us from our relationship with God. Also, let’s not forget that the enemy of our souls is always attempting to destroy our relationship with God. So determine every morning that you will put God first in your day, and you will continue to build and cultivate your relationship with God in prayer, in your praises, in meditating daily in God’s word and promises, in declaring God’s word over your life and circumstances. When you are abiding in His Presence, the enemy cannot defeat you. Always remember, greater his He that is within you, than he that is in the world!
James 4: 7,8 “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you”
