Resurrection Power!

King David meditated on God’s word continually. He knew that God’s word contained life, wisdom, protection, instruction, direction and gives life to those who embrace His precepts. Psalm 119:93 (KJV) says: “I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me”. The (NKJV) says: “for by them You have given me life”. That word quickened is the Hebrew word Chayah (Strongs Hebrew: 2420), which means: “to revive, to make alive, to give life, to preserve, to restore back to life”.  Did you know that Jesus is the Word of God? Yes, He is the Living Word of God. We also have the written word of God which speaks of Him! John 1: 1, 14:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”. Ephesians 2:1 says: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins”. If you are reading this, take a moment to thank God for the fact that you are alive. Be grateful for life. In Christ, you also have eternal life. I know that we are in the midst of many people who are constantly complaining about the dumbest things. But don’t get caught up in that mess.  Instead, take time to realize just how blessed we really are. By God’s grace, we have been given life and life eternal. Be like King David of old, and thank Him every day for the gift of life. Remember, He loved us even when we were dead in sins and trespasses. He is worthy of gratitude and praise!

Can you comprehend this kind of grace?

The greatest kindness was revealed at the cross. God extended grace to each of us. It was not just any grace. It was exceeding riches of grace in His kindness. Ephesians 2: 7 says: “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” Notice it was not just riches. It was exceeding riches. For me, riches means great abundance. But God didn’t just give us riches of grace. He gave us exceeding riches of grace. The word exceeding means: “To surpass, supereminent. To throw beyond the usual mark ” That means that whatever we think riches are, God took it to a level that we won’t ever really comprehend. His grace and kindness toward us is unfathomable. He loves us with a love that is perfect, pure and eternal. It is the greatest gift you will ever receive. So today, as you navigate through your daily chores, allow God’s grace, kindness and love to fill your heart and mind. His love is more powerful than any challenge you will ever face, and guess what, He is always with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you!

Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”
