Trust is a powerful factor in relationships. Trust engenders honor. Trust ascribes value. Trust says you are important. Trust says I’ve checked you out and you have character and integrity. Psalm 118:8 (AMPC) says: “It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” This is not saying that we cannot trust people. There are trustworthy people around us. It is saying that we need to primarily trust God and His word. He has to be first. If we trust what people say over what God says, it will lead us astray. When God is the bedrock of our lives, nothing people say or do will lead us astray. Jeremiah 17:5 (AMP) says: “Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind, making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength, and whose mind and heart turn away from the Lord”. Note how the prophet emphasizes that we must stay away from trusting in weak, faulty flesh. We are not to allow “flesh” to turn our hearts away from the Lord. So today, we need to make a personal assessment and see where our trust is. If it is in the wrong place, today is the perfect day to make the needed adjustment. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. Proverbs 3:5,6.
Donde esta tu confianza?
La confianza es un factor poderoso en las relaciones. La confianza engendra honor. La confianza atribuye valor. La confianza dice que eres importante. La confianza dice que te he echado un vistazo y veo que tienes carácter e integridad. El Salmo 118:8 dice: “Es mejor confiar y refugiarse en el Señor que confiar en el hombre”. Esto no quiere decir que no podamos confiar en las personas. Hay personas de confianza a nuestro alrededor. Está diciendo que necesitamos confiar principalmente en Dios y en su palabra. Dios tiene que ser primero en nuestros corazones. Si confiamos mas en lo que la gente opinan sobre lo que Dios dice, nos llevará por mal camino. Cuando Dios es la base de nuestras vidas, nada de lo que la gente diga o haga nos llevará por mal camino. Jeremías 17: 5 dice: “Así dice el Señor:” Maldito el hombre que confía en la humanidad, haciendo de la carne humana débil y defectuosa su fuerza, y cuya mente y corazón se apartan del Señor.” Nota cómo el profeta enfatiza que debemos mantenernos alejados de confiar en la carne débil y defectuosa. No debemos permitir que la “carne” aleje nuestros corazones del Señor. Así que hoy, debemos hacer una evaluación personal y ver dónde está nuestra confianza . Si está en el lugar equivocado, hoy es el día perfecto para hacer los ajustes necesarios. Confía en el Señor con todo tu corazón, y no te apoyes en tu propio entendimiento; Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y Él dirigirá tus caminos. Proverbios 3: 5-6
