Favor comes from this!

While it is true that Joseph went through great difficulty in his life, wherever he landed, he ultimately prospered. When he was sold into slavery, Potiphar saw the wisdom of God within Joseph, and eventually promoted him to be in charge of his entire household. When Joseph landed in prison although he was innocent, he was eventually promoted to be in charge of all the prisoners and everything that was done within the prison. We know that eventually his wisdom brought him before Pharaoh. When Pharaoh heard his good understanding and wisdom, he promoted him to be the second in command of all of Egypt. Proverbs 13:15  says: “Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.” Good understanding comes from daily meditation on God’s word, time with God in prayer, consistent study and preparation in the field where you work, or the business you own. Also, spending time with quality mentors who have great depth of understanding and experience in the field where you desire to work in. Acquiring this level of good understanding takes time and ongoing work, but the results will be worthy of the investment. Question: when you open your mouth and people hear what you have to say, are they uplifted and enlightened, or do they quickly run out the door to avoid any further conversation with you? Good understanding will bring you favor with others, but ignorant conversation and excuses will bring you nothing but poverty and unfulfilled dreams.

Josué, uno de los patriarcas del Viejo Testamento pasó por grandes dificultades, pero en el medio de sus tribulaciones, siempre prosperaba. Cuando fue vendido como esclavo, Potifar vio la sabiduría de Dios dentro de Josué y eventualmente lo promovió para que se encargara de toda su casa. Cuando Josué llegó a la cárcel aunque era inocente, eventualmente lo ascendieron para que se encargara de todos los prisioneros y de todo lo que se hacia dentro de la prisión. Sabemos que finalmente, su sabiduría lo llevó ante faraón. Cuando faraón escuchó su buen entendimiento y sabiduría, lo promovió a ser el segundo al mando de todo Egipto. Proverbios 13:15 dice: “El buen entendimiento produce favor, mas el camino de los pérfidos es duro..” El buen entendimiento proviene de la meditación diaria sobre la palabra de Dios, el tiempo con Dios en oración, el estudio y la preparación consistente en el area que uno escoge para trabajar, o el negocio que emprendes. También incluye  pasando tiempo con mentores de calidad que tienen una gran comprensión y experiencia en el area en el qual deseas trabajar. Adquirir este nivel de “buena comprensión requiere tiempo y trabajo continuo, pero los resultados serán dignos de la inversión”. Tengo una pregunta: Cuando abres tu boca  y la gente te oyen, quedaran motivados e iluminados, o saldrían corriendo rápidamente por la puerta para evitar nuevas conversaciones contigo. La buena comprensión te favorecerá con los demás, pero la conversación ignorante y las excusas te brindarán nada más que pobreza y sueños no cumplidos.
