Let us go to the house of the Lord!

It’s the Lords day! This past week, you have celebrated with family and friends. You have enjoyed sumptuous meals. Now it’s time to go and thank the one who gave you life, salvation, healing, provision, protection, wisdom, mercy, goodness, and joy. Are you passionate for the house of the Lord? King David said:  “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord” (Psalms 122:1). Let us go to worship Him and let Him know how thankful we are for all that He has done for us.

Psalms 100:4 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name”.

Well, get out of bed and go to church today!

Fellowshipping, or going to church shouldn’t be a religious activity. It is a discipline, an act of obedience and part of our DNA as Christians. We are part of His Body. In the natural, your hand is with you everywhere you go, even if you don’t need it at the time. Imagine if your hand decided to tell you, “I don’t feel like going with you today.” Wouldn’t that be ridiculous? However, we do that all the time. For instance, one might say, “I don’t feel like going to church today,” and then we end up not going to church based on a feeling. Yet, you are part of the body, and the body needs you. One doesn’t go to church simply to sit in a pew. As part of the church family, you have abilities and gifts that God gave you to share with the new ones that are coming in with greater needs. You don’t go simply to get “blessed.” God made you to be a blessing to others, so get out of bed and go to church today, or better yet, be the church today 🙂

Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
