Have you seen how people receive an inheritance, and instead of wisely investing it, they squander it all away? This is the the problem when abundance is handed to those who don’t have the wisdom to properly steward it. King Solomon said: “Wisdom is good with an inheritance, and profitable to those who see the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 7:11) It goes on to say that wisdom is also a defense. I have personally seen people get in trouble various times due to lack of wisdom. They spoke or acted in ways that only attracted danger and misfortune. Conversely, when a person speaks or acts with wisdom, they bring forth life, prosperity, effective solutions, peace, and goodwill. The Proverbist said: “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7) And where can you begin the process of acquiring wisdom? He also answered that question: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7) Are you chasing after things that really won’t matter in years to come, or are you pursuing God and His wisdom? Remember, those who only chase after things are chasing empty dreams at the end of the day. Pursue wisdom, and every good thing will follow!
Ecclesiastes 7: 11 &12 “Wisdom is good with an inheritance, and profitable to those who see the sun. For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, but the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.”
