Is it possible to forgive this?

In the Passion Translation, there is a powerful version of the “Our Father” prayer. Most know that we are to forgive our debtors, but this version says it this way: “Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves
release forgiveness to those who have wronged us”. The Father forgives our wrongs and debts, but He expects us to also release forgiveness  to those who have wronged us! The love that God extends to us is beyond comprehension. However, as His children and representatives, we have the privilege and honor to also extend forgiveness to others just as He extends us His forgiveness and love. The word Gospel means “good news.” What better news than the fact that God in Christ has forgiven us! In the same manner, we get the privilege to extend God’s love through us as we forgive those who have wronged us. Forgiveness is difficult. That is one of the reasons why it’s a precious gift. When you extend the gift of forgiveness, you are helping to give someone a second chance. God has given us new life, so with his help, we can also give new life to broken relationships.

Matthew 6: 12 “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors”.

Forgive and be tenderhearted toward one another!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. As Christ followers, we are to reject all bitterness, wrath and uncontrolled anger. Instead, we need to be kind and tenderhearted to each other. The spirit of this age has deceived many in this day into thinking that we are in a battle with each other. However, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. We must reject any thoughts or mindsets that would cause offense among each other. Instead, we must forgive one another, because this is the order of God. God in Christ forgave us, and He instructs us that even as He forgave us, we must forgive one another.

Ephesians 4:31 & 32 – Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, [i]clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
