Do not give the enemy any opportunities!

Here is a powerful revelation for your Monday: “Nor give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:27. We have authority in Christ to resist the enemy. However, he is a deceiver, and a slanderous one at that. That same verse in the TPT version of the Bible says: “Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the Devil, an opportunity to manipulate you!” The enemy, by use of accusations and deception, is always attempting to manipulate you into giving him an opportunity to lead you into sin, whether or not it is to get you into holding a grudge, nurturing anger, harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness. If he can get you into any of those states, He can manipulate you and paralyze your faith. God reminds us today that we are not to give him any place or any opportunity in our lives. Live a live of love and forgiveness, and if something gets you angry, don’t keep it. Resolve your issues quickly and he won’t be able to manipulate or control you. After all, greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world! Read this verse one more time in the Amplified version: ” And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].

Do this as unto the Lord!

2 Corinthians 9:7 says: “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” Each of us are responsible for giving and sharing what God has placed in our hands. We all have abilities, resources, and talents. The Apostle Paul counseled the believers that our service to God is to be done cheerfully, not out of any necessity, pressure or reluctance. We are to do all things with all of our hearts. Look at how Paul put it: “Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others.”(Colossians 3:23). We need to catch this revelation. God sees what we do and He loves those who give with all of their hearts. He loves the cheerful giver. Whether it is service in the local church, in your family, in industry, in government, in education, and even when we give offerings, let’s do it as unto the lord and you will please the heart of God. And remember, we can never out-give God. He will make sure that you reap bountifully and are enriched for every good work! (2 Corinthians 9: 6-11)
