It is God’s will for us to reveal this to our neighbors!

Debt is generally not a good thing to have, especially high interest debt. However, not all debt is bad, especially if you invest in well paying assets. The scriptures teach that there is one debt that we could never fully repay, and that is the debt of love: Romans 13:8 (Phillips)  “Keep out of debt altogether, except the perpetual debt of love which we owe to one another. The man who loves his neighbor has obeyed the whole Law in regard to his neighbor”. The Greek word “Agape” is not so much a matter of emotion as it is of doing things for the benefit of another person, that is, having an unselfish concern for another and a willingness to seek the best for other believers (Biblegateway.com). Are you daily paying your debt to your neighbor? Love is not just a saying. It is an action word. Love helps. Love heals. Love cares. Love provides. When we love, we reveal God’s will to humanity because after all, God is love!

1 John 4:7-11Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another”.

He is waiting. Are you ready?

In Luke 15, Jesus shared a parable about the prodigal son who had left his home to waste his inheritance in prodigal living, that is, wasteful and reckless behavior. One of the main points of the parable was that when he returned to his father’s home penniless and destitute, his father had been waiting for him all along, ready to forgive him. The father was abundant in mercy, and when the son returned and asked for forgiveness, the father lavished his love on the one who was not worthy.. However, the father’s love was so great that he  extended to him lavish mercy and love once the son asked for forgiveness. Our Heavenly Father is that father that is ready to forgive us, always abundant in mercy to all those who call upon Him. The enemy of our souls would have us believe that God will only punish us when we fall short, and will not forgive us, but this is a lie. He just doesn’t want us to reconnect with our Heavenly Father. Ignore those voices and come back home. He is waiting for you with open arms. God is Love! (1 John 4:8)

Psalms 86:5For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.”
