Lord, grant us the ability to foresee and avoid danger!

To foresee something is to see or know something beforehand. It is to effectively anticipate something. This comes from experience and discernment. When I was a child, my mother told me not to touch the hot iron. I touched it. Now I can foresee that if I touch a hot iron, I will get burned. Proverbs 27:12 says, “A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” I get very concerned for people when they make hasty decisions, especially when the decision can hurt them or others. How many times have I heard someone say to me, ”I wish I would not have made that decision so quickly.” Be prudent; take some time to do some research before buying something. Investigate that product or service a little more before buying it. Get to know someone better before getting into a relationship. Going forward, refuse to be a simpleton. Instead be prudent. Your future depends on it!
