David told Goliath this, and then soundly defeated him!

Psalm 144: 1,2 “Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle—My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.” The Lord Jesus once said that on the earth, we would suffer tribulation. John 16:33 says “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” He wanted us to be comforted and encouraged in knowing that not only does He understand what we go through, He lives within us and will help us to overcome all of the challenges that come to us throughout our lives. King David confided in God in every battle that He faced. He called God His Rock, His Fortress, his High Tower and his Deliverer. All of these names gave him hope and strength in the day of battle. Think about it, even when he faced Goliath, he declared the name of his God, “The Lord of Hosts” (1 Samuel 17:45) before he went on to defeat the giant! You might be going through a “giant sized” battle right now! Therefore, it’s time to remember that in Christ, God is your Rock, your Fortress, your High Tower, your Deliverer and your Lovingkindness. He is the one that has trained you for the battle. Allow Christ in you to rise up today, and defeat and dethrone any enemy that has come to harass or vex you. Remember, greater is He that is within you!

Psalm 144: 1,2 “Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle—My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.”

God says it is possible for you!

The Lord told Joshua that He had given Jericho into his hand, including its king and the mighty warriors (Joshua 6:2). What’s amazing is that He told him before it ever happened. He told Joshua “See,” I have given Jericho into your hand. He wanted for Joshua to see and know it before it happened, so that he would have the confidence and boldness to do the seemingly impossible. He had to “see” that the impossible is not really impossible. With God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). What is God telling you to “see” today? Don’t let anyone talk you out of your miracle!

Joshua 6:2 “The Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and the mighty warriors.”
