Psalm 91:15
“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”
The Scriptures clearly and repeatedly teach that God will deliver the righteous, which are those who honor and obey His word. King David was very aware and dependent upon this truth. Here are some verses in the book of Psalms that reveal His faith in God to deliver him:
Psalm 18:2 – “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold”
Psalm 18:17 – “He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me”
Psalm 18:48 – “He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man”
Psalm 31:15 – “My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me”
Psalm 34:7 – “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them”
Psalm 34:19 – “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all”
David realized that there were times where if the Lord hadn’t delivered him, he would have been destroyed. In the same way, God will deliver us out of trouble. Sometimes He dispatches angels to help us in our trouble. Whichever way He decides to deliver us, you will be victorious over your enemies, trials and tribulations. This is the will of our Heavenly Father:
Galations 1:4 “who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.”
Thank Him today that He is good to us. Surely He delivers us because He loves us and is faithful to His promises!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You so much for your promise to deliver me from anything and anyone that would destroy me. Even though the enemy of my soul would try to destroy me, he cannot because You are watching over me and have given me your full armor so that I could stand against all of the wiles and tricks of the devil. Thank You that You have given me overcoming faith to stand in the midst of difficult seasons, pandemics, natural and spiritual wars, evil and unruly people, temptations, trials and tribulations. I praise you, Almighty and gracious Heavenly Father! In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen!
