There were many times when King David was distressed. Sometimes conditions got so harsh that if it were not for his faith in God, he would have been destroyed. But he would consistently cry out to God and ask for His help. Psalm 18:6 says: “In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” He knew that God would hear him and deliver him from the hands of his enemies. Today, you might be experiencing your own distress. It might have gotten to the point where your emotional energy has been sorely depleted. Remember David. He would cry out in the midst of his crisis or distress. He knew that without God’s help, he would be overcome by his enemies. However, God heard his prayers and helped him in his distress. In seasons of distress, we do well to cry out to God. He hears our prayers. Call out to Him today. Grace and supernatural peace is available.
Psalm 20:1 “May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you”
