What is more relevant than the gospel? Jesus taught and preached the gospel in every city and village He went. The gospel healed every sickness and desease among the people. He then told us to preach the gospel to all the world, and to disciple all nations. This message transcends time and cultures. This message is for everyone and for every generation. God loves the world. However, He is not speaking about the physical land mass. He is speaking about every person in every nation. He desires for everyone to know that through faith in Christ, He gives them the power to become “sons of God.” (Galations 3:26). Jesus focused much of His time teaching and preaching. The Apostles also dedicated the majority of their time to preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. Now it is our turn. Are we dedicating time each week to reach our “city”? That can be your neighbor, your family member, your co-worker, your grocer, etc. Or are we too busy? If we are too busy, that means that we are placing other things in a higher priority than God’s commission! This was Jesus’ last command to us. It is important and vital, and it can mean the difference between eternal life or eternal perdition to someone. So what is more relevant than the gospel? I don’t think anything is more relevant and important than this precious, all-important message.
Matthew 9:35 “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”
