The Apostle Paul exhorts God’s people to be filled with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our teacher. He leads us to all truth. The Lord Jesus told us that once He returned to the Father, He would send the Holy Spirit who would live in us, and share God’s heart and will with us. Paul shares several ways which we can be filled with the Spirit: Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing to the Lord, and giving thanks always for all things. Therefore, we need to fill our lives daily with worship, praise and gratitude. As we apply these actions to our lives, Paul says we will continuously be filled with the Holy Spirit, and will live victorious lives for the Glory to God and be a blessing to all those under our care.
Ephesians 5:18 – 21 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.
