This will result in joy and happiness!

When we strive to live a godly life and walk as a citizen of the Kingdom of God, there are many benefits. King David once wrote: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalms 34:19). The Lord Jesus promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He also promised us that He would send the Holy Spirit, who would lead us to all truth. When we walk in integrity, we walk in peace and joy. We can sleep in peace. We know that God goes before us and prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. Our hope in the Lord will result in joy and happiness!

Proverbs 10:28 – The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing.

He will lead you to peaceful streams!

King David had many troubles in his life. He was almost murdered by King Saul various times due to jealousy. Neither his father nor his brothers respected him, nor recognized the king within him. He had to fight a giant that no one else would dare confront. Yet in all that, King David trusted God in the midst of his trials and troubles, and God brought him to a place of rest and peace. Have you brought your problems to the Lord? He is your shepherd, and He will bring you besides “peaceful streams!” 

Psalms 23: 2 He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams.
