The true source of strength!

Joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. It is also a decision to focus on the good things that are happening around you instead of focusing on the bad things. Nehemiah 8:10 says: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” The presence of joy reveals that a person has received great news, or is in a pleasant environment. The highest form of joy is when you trust in the Lord. You realize that He loves you and is with you in good times and in bad times. The presence of joy doesn’t mean that you won’t go through difficult times. It means that you know that God is with you and He will help you to overcome any and all obstacles. It is knowing that you are more than a conqueror through Him Who loves you and gave His life for you. If you lack joy today, shift your focus from circumstances and situations to the Lord and His goodness. The joy of the Lord is indeed your strength!

Psalms 5:11 – But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.

Go with peace!

Among the enemies that we face on an ongoing basis, fear is one of the master enemies. Fear kept many in Moses’ day from entering into their inheritance. God told Joshua various times “fear not!” (Joshua 1). 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and oflove and of a sound mind”. The Apostle John wrote this about fear, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love”(1 John 4:18). I pray that Holy Spirit gives you the powerful revelation that David received when he said, “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (Psalms 23). God is with you! He promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He also dispatched angels to protect you. Today, the Lord reminds us to live in His peace and joy. The peace that passes understanding, and the joy of the Lord, which is our strength!

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
