In Matthew 6:10, the Lord Jesus taught us to pray that His kingdom would come. When one speaks of a kingdom, by necessity one needs to understand that there is a King that rules over that kingdom. There are also princes and princesses. The kingdom also has citizens who live in that kingdom. The Lord Jesus is the King of this kingdom. He preached the gospel of the kingdom of God (Mark 1:14). He instructed us to seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness first (Matthew 6:33), and the King would provide for our every need. When we seek the kingdom of God, we walk in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). We walk in power (1 Corinthians 4:20). There is healing and deliverance in this kingdom (Luke 9:11, 10:9, 11:20). Only the righteous can be citizens of this kingdom. We have to receive the kingdom as children (Mark 10:15). Children trust their parents implicitly, and we have to trust our King in the same manner. And in this kingdom, we are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). King Jesus wants you to remember that every day when you pray!
