This person always has more than enough!

Proverbs 12:24 -The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.

The diligent and lazy person are polar opposites. The diligent maximize their time, their talents and abilities, and their resources to ensure that they take care of their families, businesses and ministries. They take responsibility for their lives and actions. They refuse to blame others for their mistakes. Instead, they take responsibility for their mistakes and do what is needed to correct them. The lazy person refuses to cultivate their land, so they will suffer hunger during the harvest season. The diligent will rule. They will get the promotion. They will get the prize. The lazy will end up working for the diligent. It’s up to you; will you be the diligent one, or the lazy one?

Proverbs 12: 11 – He who [c]tills his land will be satisfied with bread, but he who follows [d]frivolity is devoid of [e]understanding.

Are you diligent or lazy?

I have been going through Proverbs 10 the past week, and I ran into verse 26 which says: As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the lazy man to those who send him. Wow! Laziness is simply unacceptable to God and man. Yet so many feel that others should do everything for them Have they not read verses like:

Proverbs 12:24 – The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.

Proverbs 20:4 -The lazy man will not plow because of winter; He will beg during harvest and have nothing.

Proverbs 21:25 -The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.

Proverbs 25:26 – But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant…..

As you can see, the lazy person will end up in poverty, and the dilligent will rule. Also, the Lord calls the lazy person “wicked.”

Refuse to allow yourself to fall under the curse of laziness. Instead, be the champion of your family, and be that diligent person that embraces life and industry. Be that one that we can all be proud of. Be that one that the Lord says this to: Good and faithful servant; You have been faithful in these few things; enter into the joy of your Lord.
