King David had many challenges during his life. He was almost murdered by King Saul various times due to jealousy. Neither his father nor his brothers respected him, nor recognized the king within him. He had to fight a giant that no one else would dare confront. Yet in all that, King David trusted God in the midst of his trials and troubles, and God brought him to a place of rest and peace. Have you brought your problems to the Lord? He is your shepherd, and He will bring you besides “peaceful streams!” Remember that in this beautiful “Good Friday!”
