The Day After!

That’s right! Christmas is over! The mad rush to buy gifts, the family get-togethers, the stress of receiving many guests into your home, the cooking, the cleaning, and now, comes the clean-up! These holidays can be truly overwhelming.  So what does one do the day after? Well, for the Christian, we do the same thing today. “This is the day that Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalms 118:24)” “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalms 34:1).” For the Christian, Christmas is not just a holiday. It is a lifestyle. We celebrate the Lord Jesus every day. We have a daily “attitude of gratitude.”  So in reality, for us, Christmas is a daily reality!. Let the celebration continue…………

.Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Chase after the eternal, not the temporal!

The majority of people are always seeking popularity, recognition, influence, and the like. They love the accolades of the crowds. They thrive for fame and fortune. However, this is all vanity (Ecclesiastes 1:2). The Apostle Paul revealed to us what is truly important. Love!  1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) says  “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love”. It was love that gave us salvation. It was love that adopted us into God’s family. It was love that forgave us. It was love that delivered us. It was love that prepared an eternal home for us. Stop seeking after that which perishes. Seek God with all of your heart because He is Love (1 John 4:8),

1 Corinthians 13:2 (NLT) If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
