The Lord Jesus overcame it for you!

In life, we will experience afflictions, problems, challenges and issues. Look what the Lord Jesus said in John 16:33 – “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” Yes, you will experience many issues throughout your life. But always remember, God is with you, and He will deliver you out of every affliction!

Psalms 34:19 – “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all”

Overcomers inherit the blessings!

An overcomer is: “One who succeeds in dealing with or gaining control of some problem or difficulty, one who refused to be defined by any past failure or struggle.” Similar words are: “to defeat, to conquer, to beat, master, prevail, stop.” Therefore, to overcome has to do with one who has to confront problems or difficulties, and defeat or conquer them. In our walk with God, Jesus told us that we would go through difficulties, temptations, persecution, unfair attacks, etc. However, by His Spirit, He gives us the overcoming power to defeat the plans, attacks, tricks, deceits of the wicked one. One very important principle in overcoming is that we have to do our part in standing by faith in agreement with God’s plan for our lives. Sometimes it gets so hard that many have the tendency or desire to simply give up. That is what differentiates the overcomers from the ones who give in to defeat and  give up. We are instructed to “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10). So put on the whole armor of God every day and be that “overcomer” that inherits the promises of God!

Revelation 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
